I asked Santa for an RC model in 1975. This was the beginning of my aviation involvement. Dad not knowing that a freeflight model didn't require a fuel tank, he added a 4oz one. Once we launched the model, it did loops until it reached about 2000 feet. It leveled off and flew towards Virginia and that was the last time we saw it. I continued my love of aviation, becoming a pilot at 16 then flying in the Army as a 93B, Aeroscout Observer from 1989-1997. I still enjoy RC now with my 3 sons.
