So I assembled my 50 mm Habu SS and I’m a little confused on the transmitter set up instructions. I’m using a DX8. The plane came with an addendum with different throw measurements which will be an issue because I don’t have throw meter.

The other thing I don’t understand is why it has dual rates ...

Hi Travis, I know a lot of folks set up there switches differently, I use switch "F" for my dual rates.

I use switch E for ailerons. I have three rates. I start at 70/80/100. I use switch F for elevator. I have three rates. I start at 70/80/100. I leave the rudder at a 100% travel. I have never used a throw meter. I eyeball it and make adjustments on the bench and then fine tune after the maiden if ne...

Sadly I’m disappointed and frustrated with Horizon.

I purchased a Habu SS from a Hobby Store last week, I unpacked the plane only to find that it had no hardware.
I’ve had some technical issues with the last couple planes I’ve purchased from HH but it was easily corrected.

This time it took me ...

I feel your pain. Customer service has gone way downhill! I had my Carbon Z 150T that came with no hardware and damaged paint throughout. HH did step up and send hardware after a week or so. Plane still looks like crap because of the paint but it does fly. Seems like 7 out of every 10 planes I buy a...

Unfortunately I’m in a back and forth now with a customer service rep.

I get an email asking for information , send the info and then wait 3 or 4 days for another email.

Once the back and forth is over it will then take another week for the hardware to get to my house. That will make it 3 weeks....

This is a ceiling hanger for made from PVC. I’ve seen these a couple times and decided to make one. The vertical and horizontal pieces can be different sizes depending on what type of plane it will be holding, I made this one to accommodate 1.2 - 1.3 mm low wings.

I used the PVC cross and drill tw...

I like this idea. The handyman person at the club made his with one vertical longer than the other. Just enough to get a tilt that allowed him to squeeze more planes together by overlapping the wings. Well done.
We had a ton of snow here in Ohio last winter, this year I’ll be ready for it. These are Du-Bro 830 Park Flyer Snow Skis. A little tricky to put on at first but I think they’ll work well. They are spring loaded to come up once you leave the ground. The collars that came in the set are small for th...

Anyone fancy a discussion regarding the performance of Du-bro ski's vs Floats? I've used floats on snow but not ski's, how are they?

I went with floats due to many slushy winters and not knowing how/if ski's would negotiate slush well.

Please change my opinion or share a success story ....................Being a big fan of E-flite aircraft and parts I asked Miss Claus for the E-flite ski's to install on my beloved Air Tractor. At the risk of getting some negative attention for what I am about to share I still need to share it: The...

A little update, I bought Dubro skis and installed the on the TT Evolution, I revisited the E-flite ski's and made my own solution to the problems I ran into, here are my solutions. The original spring that is suppose to be mounted to the gear leg was replaced by a spare spring from a float set, it ...

This is what the Eflite RV7 looks like without its pants on. It does take off and land much easier in grass and no your eyes are not deceiving you, the rack it’s sitting on is made from and old walker. I started making these a few years ago after I spotted a couple old walkers for sale cheap at my c...

Not a bad method to make a stand that gets the plane up higher to work on and yet can easily fold.

Great idea! Those old walkers are a dime a dozen!
