I'm trying to setup AS3X on a Spektrum AR630 using an iX20. I've followed all the correct steps in setting up AS3X. When completed though the control surfaces don't seem to respond. the control surfaces don't move and the servo are don't move either. I'm at my wits end. I've set up several other ...

What happens during the bind process? Does the ESC connect?

Did you advance the throttle after setting it up? Throttle cut off, go to about 25% and back. Throttle cut on.
Will AS3X work on a plane with "Elevons"?

Yes. I have an S800 wing with elevons. B switch has safe, AS3X, and gyro off in positions 1,2 and 3 respectively. Works great. Safe makes hand launching a breeze. Position 2 (AS3X) allows aerobatics.
I have a Maule 1.5M that during flight the power go to a lower power for just a few seconds. Then the power resumes to what ever level I was flying at. On the ground the plane will not replicate that problem. Is this an ESC problem or a motor problem. I'm going to try and reset the ESC and see if...

X2 can be a heat problem
I'm upgrading a Carbon-Z Cub SS, with a 60 size motor and a 100 amp ESC. I have a question regarding the ESC. The ESC came with a cooling fan. Is the fan required. Also regarding the ESC, there are (2) servo leads. One lead I know goes to the RX in the Throttle port. The other lead is a twin hea...

The twin lead provides a secondary power supply to your receiver and can go into any open port, the single lead that splits off from that is unused (it's an RPM signal for other types of telemetry, not used with Spektrum).

The programming port is where the fan plugs in, if you ever need to program...

The other plug ends are for programming and would recommend keeping them. The prop I have been using is a 16 X 7 on the power 60 motor.
