I have been successful with spoilerons on the UMX TX.

I didn’t find full flaps useful for me so I set up neutral (no “flaps”), 5 up and 15 down. Works well. In fact when I tried more than 5 up, it really dropped!

Any mods being done to the carbon cub s2 yet....I'm going to install 3 carbon rods thru fuselage and thinking of making landing gear out of carbon to get rid of the wire and skirts but any motor upgrades or special mixes or settings to know about.....just got it thinking of more scale look on landin...

Do you have flaps on yours? That is the first mod I would look at. The biggest constraint you face is weight, if you can reduce weight go for it... If you add weight consider how much it's going to add and if there is a benefit that overcomes the downsides. You can't add much weight before it starts...
